NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY

What is a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, sometimes referred to as liquid rhinoplasty, uses dermal filler to enhance and accentuate the nose. Most dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in the body. When injected at strategic sites it will increase the profile, enhance projection, and disguise humps. A very thorough understanding of the nasal anatomy is imperative to achieve the best results and avoid complications.

Pioneered in 2006 by internationally renowned Triple Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Ramtin Kassir, it enabled patients who were hesitant about a surgical rhinoplasty to improve the shape of their nose without having to go under the knife, no downtime, and minimal discomfort.

  •  Downtime: none

  • Discomfort: minimal

  • Time: 30-45min

  • Ideal lift for noes with a hump, plunging and droopy tip, flat noses

  • Not good for crooked or deviated noses

What shapes of noses are good candidates for non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Flat noses with a lack of profile or large noses with humps are equally good candidates. Nasal tips that are under projected, droopy, or lack definition can also be enhanced.

On the other hand, crooked noses or asymmetric noses are more difficult to treat and might not be a candidate for non-surgical rhinoplasty.

If you are uncertain if your nose is a good candidate book a consultation instead and we will give you all possible options.

How long does a non-surgical rhinoplasty last?

Similar to dermal fillers the result of a non-surgical rhinoplasty will last up to a year. In some instances, the results can be longer but there will likely be a gradual loss of volume over time. If you notice a decrease in projection in the first few weeks following your non-surgical rhinoplasty you might need a touch up which is included in the initial procedure.

Remember similar to dermal fillers, the hyaluronic acid used in non-surgical rhinoplasties can be dissolved if necessary, so the effect can be reversed.

How much do fillers cost?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty costs $2500 and includes touchups in the immediate period after the procedure.

How does the procedure work?

Every non-surgical rhinoplasty includes a consultation to assess the shape and anatomy of your nose. After talking about your individual anatomy and how you envision the new shape of your nose we will make sure that you have no medical contraindications. Next, we will draw out anatomical landmarks and apply numbing creme to make it as little uncomfortable as possible. In addition, the filler used for non-surgical rhinoplasty contains numbing medication. Once the skin has been numbed we inject filler at key points using a tiny needle and with great care to respect the underlying anatomy. Once the desired look has been achieved you are finished. No special immediate care or dressings are required.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty aftercare and recovery

There is no downtime and you can immediately return home after the procedure. You might feel a little discomfort at the injection site which will disappear within the first few hours following the procedure. Avoid strenuous or overhead activity (e.g. yoga, swimming) for the first 24hours after the procedure.

Is a non-surgical rhinoplasty the right procedure for me?

If you are unhappy about the shape of your nose, maybe because of a lack in projection or a hump, then this procedure is right for you. If you are concerned about permanent changes to your face a non-surgical rhinoplasty is a great way of trying out what a different shape could look like. And remember that hyaluronic acid can be disolved if necessary.

If you want a permanent solution then you might be more interested in a surgical rhinoplasty. Ever wonder what a surgical rhinoplasty would look like?
